World Largest Refinery

World Largest Refinery

A conventional refinery requires massive land exploitation, extensive manpower requirement, extremely cost consuming which usually cost over billions of dollars to build, and heavily exploiting raw material for its construction.

The world largest refinery, which cost US$ 6 billions to build, consumes over 7,500 acres (30,000,000 m²) of land. This area, if overlaid on Mumbai or London, would cover more than one-third of either city’s landmass.

There is even a township (415 acres of land) with housing for its 2,500 employees. If all of the pipes used in the refinery were laid out, one after another, they would connect the whole of India from north to south.

With this massive facilities, it achieves an aggregate refining capacity of 1.24 million barrels (197,000 m³) of oil per day.

Mobile Refinery

Now, let us take a look at our new age refinery. What has it got to offer?

One unit of our mobile refinery takes an area of roughly 400m². It is capable of producing 330 barrels (48 tonnes) per day, minimum.

In order to produce 1.24 million barrels per day, we require 1,500,000 m² of land to place all the necessary units, which is 370 acres.

Let’s double the land area to nearly 750 acres to house the storage tanks and facilities.

That is only 10 % of the size of a conventional refinery, and we achieve the same output at 1.24 million barrels per day!

With this new invention, this seemingly number 1 industry being blackmailed as highest contributor in environment pollution would become environmentally friendly.
